As for Red Line Project, it will start at Bang Sue Grand Station. Then divided into 2 routes.
The first on is the Dark Red Line (Bang Sue – Rangsit) with a distance of 26 km.comprising a total of 10 transfer stations such as Bang Sue Grande Station,Chatuchak Station, and ends at Rangsit Station. You will be able to travel from start to finish within 25 minutes.
And another track route is the Light Red Line (Bang Sue – Taling Chan) with a distance of 15 km.
containing a total of 3 stations: Bang Son Station, Bang Bamru Station and Taling-Chan Station. It will take around 15 minutes to reach the end of the line.
The potential maximum design speed is 160 km/h., but the maximum speed in service is set at 120 km/h.
During the first 3 months of the trial period, SRT will operate with a frequency of 15-30 minutes which are 15 minutes during rush hour and 30 minutes outside rush hour. Its runs an average of 78 trips/day using approximately 12 trains.
